I wrote my first book at 9 years old.

It was a book called “Breakfast Wars”, about a kingdom of breakfast foods - led by the valiant King Winston Waffle - under invasion by vegetables. What had originally begun as a kids book became a middle-grade chapter book with a surprise cameo from my bearded dragon and a plot twist about the vegetables desperately wanting to become breakfast foods, not destroy them.

The Microsoft Word document that would become a life-long friend of mine didn’t stay blank for long. I wrote a comic series about a giant turtle travelling the world with his friends on his back, and penned the first few chapters for a YA Dystopian centering around a dark and moody protagonist known as the Scorpio King.

I wanted to create the stories that would sit on the shelf beside my favourites: Percy Jackson, Artemis Fowl, and The Hunger Games. I imagined one day shaking hands with Kenneth Oppel or Marie Lu - the same that I picked up from the library.

15 years later, I have a lot to show for it.

I was a freelance worldbuilder for half a decade, helping over 50 indie writers.

Now, I’m a writing coach for the world’s next generation of bestselling authors.

I founded a social media for fiction writers; The Myth Dimension.

I’m authoring over 12 novels simultaneously.

It’s been a long road getting here, and I can tell I have a long path ahead of me still. If you want to join me on my journey, follow me on social media @AustinArdor!
